The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy, together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, have agreed to increase and allocate special grants aimed at human resource development for the country's nuclear industry.

The decision to expand grant support will increase the influx of young specialists into engineering, technical, and scientific fields that will be in demand as part of the development of Kazakhstan's nuclear energy sector.

Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants LLP is a key partner in the program, as the trained specialists will form the future workforce for the operation and maintenance of Kazakhstan's nuclear power plants.

In 2026, the Bolashak program will pilot 20 grants for training personnel for the nuclear industry. Subsequently, similar grants are planned to be provided annually. Training includes specialized internships, as well as master's and doctoral programs at leading foreign universities.

This initiative aims to create a modern professional community capable of ensuring the safe and efficient development of the country's nuclear energy sector.
